supports HTML5 videoMy Policeman has officially dropped its full-length trailer, giving Harry Styles and Emma Corrin fans a fresh glimpse at their complex on-screen love triangle and lots of forbidden kisses.Besides starring in Olivia Wilde’s film Don’t Worry Darling (which has been embroiled in drama over the past few days), Watermelon Sugar singer Harry also takes centre stage in Michael Grandage’s upcoming movie, taking on the role of police officer Tom.Set in 1950s Britain, when homosexuality is illegal, with flashes forward to the 90s, Tom (Styles) finds himself lusting after museum curator Patrick (David Dawson) despite being married to Marion (Corrin).The trailer kicks off with Tom proposing to Marion, while also developing feelings for Patrick, who he regularly sneaks off to go and see in private.It’s not long before Patrick and Tom’s romance begins to develop even further, with the two men passionately kissing while undressing each other, and the curator soon dropping the L-bomb.‘This love is all-consuming,’ he admits. ‘I pity people who don’t know what it feels like to be this in love.’Cottoning onto her husband’s affair, a furious Marion warns him that their friend is ‘trying to ruin our marriage’ and the tension of hiding quickly bubbles over with Tom eventually snapping at Patrick over dinner.‘You know nothing about being married so stop telling me what I’m supposed to think about it!’ he yells.My Policeman is a powerful story of queer love and cinemagoers can expect an insight into what life was like for gay men in the 50s.The film will jump between the 50s, when the love triangle in full force, and 40 years later when an older Tom (Linus Roache) and Patrick (Rupert Everett) are reunited when Patrick.
