And I still am. People think I’m a funny little person, but I’m not.I’m terribly serious, actually. I worry about the world and life and me and the future and I get angry about things.

They don’t see the melancholy. One of the problems about being on amusing shows is you’re expected to be amusing all the time, and life isn’t amusing all the time. I’ve never planned anything. It’s all been frightfully haphazard.
