Erik ten Hag's side beat Leeds 2-0 in Oslo in their maiden pre-season friendly ahead of the 2023/24 season. It was a keenly anticipated match and provided United fans with their first glimpse of Mason Mount in action for the club after his summer transfer from Chelsea.
Youngsters Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill ended up grabbing the goals to decide the encounter. Both goals came after the break as Ten Hag played a different team in each half, with a youthful side taking to the pitch after half-time. Hugill then fired home late on to seal the win. United are back in action this Saturday when they take on French side Lyon at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
