Harry Maguire’s defence team hope crucial video evidence will prove his innocence as they appeal his conviction over assault and bribery charges.
His lawyer believes the footage filmed during his arrest at a police station on Mykonos will show he was attacked by officers.
And they believe medical evidence will show the defender was injured during the alleged assault. They also say they have forensic proof to back up their claims that Maguire’s sister Daisy, 20, was injected with a substance by two mystery ‘Albanian’ men, which sparked the street brawl which led to his arrest.
Maguire’s lawyer had failed to get the case postponed at the court in Syros on Tuesday, to give him time to prepare a proper defence.
