William John Simmons III (born September 25, 1969) is an American sports writer, sports analyst, author, and podcaster who is the founder and CEO of the sports and pop culture website The Ringer. Simmons first gained attention with his website as "The Boston Sports Guy" and was recruited by ESPN in 2001, where he eventually operated the website Grantland and worked until 2015. Some of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s joint business ventures are “falling apart” and they are facing some of their biggest problems, a royal expert has claimed to OK!.

Royal biographer Tom Bower said since Harry and Meghan’s Spotify podcast deal has abruptly come to an end, the pair are going to find it a struggle to keep their brand “reputable”.

And Tom told OK! he thinks “Meghan and Harry’s joint ventures are falling apart”. “They are beginning to taste the medicine that they handed out during the Oprah Winfrey interview,” he added. “They’re finding it very, very hard to keep their brand reputable.They’re constantly having to defend themselves and they’re grasping for opportunities that don’t exist any more.” Work on their solo projects is now underway after the pair abruptly parted ways with Spotify and their lucrative podcast deal, which they signed in 2020.
