Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could pay back taxpayers for Frogmore Cottage if Prince Charles foots their security bill in the US.

The royal couple owe £2.4million to taxpayers who will be reimbursed for renovating the property, as part of an agreed deal as they s tepped down as senior members of the Royal Family on March 31.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were forced to ask Prince Charles to help with their finances as they were left cash-strapped after being stripped of their security team after moving from the UK.

According to Mail Online, Harry had initially believed he would be able to keep his security team, however the issue soon became political and Canada refused to pay for their protection.
