This is the moment a police officer was run over by a thug as he responded to a call. The cop was called to reports that Kyle Woods, 33, had been harassing his partner.
In a confrontation outside the woman's home, Woods drove at the officer, ramming his work van into him and crushing his leg.
He then drove off as the officer lay motionless on the floor. He was left with a fractured ankle and still suffers from nerve damage to his knee and sciatica.
At Manchester Crown Court, Woods was jailed for more than six years as the officer, and his family, looked on. Speaking to Woods , the judge said: "You were fortunate not to kill him." In footage shared by Greater Manchester Police, Woods is seen pulling into a cul-de-sac at the end of Beech Road.
