Clayton Davis Senior Awards Editor Harrison Ford is set to receive the Career Achievement Award at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, Jan.
14. Considered one of the greatest movie stars of his generation, Ford has had roles in many of the biggest blockbusters in history, making an indelible impact.
Among them are huge franchises with iconic characters such as Han Solo in “Star Wars” and the titular archaeologist in “Indiana Jones.” In addition, he’s had memorable roles in cinematic classics like “Blade Runner,” “The Fugitive” and “Air Force One.” His undeniable impact has been recognized by various awards bodies which have included three Golden Globe nominations and his sole Oscar nom for best actor for his stunning performance in Peter Weir’s best picture-nominated drama “Witness” (1985).
Ford, 81, has been honored for his contributions to the film industry, including the BAFTA’s Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award and the American Film Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
