On June 16 Meg Duffy will share the new Hand Habits album Sugar The Bruise. They have already dropped lead single "Something Wrong" and today brings the arrival of another track from the record. "Private Life" is a slow-burning examination of a relationship filled with shame and secrecy.

Read Next: Hand Habits shares new song “Something Wrong” Speaking about the new album in a statement, Duffy said they were inspired by a songwriting class they taught in summer 2021. “For Sugar the Bruise, I had no plan other than to let my mind go blank, and lean into the playful side of things,” they explain. “To laugh a little, to lighten up, to shift the focus off of my own experience a bit.” In addition to a west coast North America summer tour, that includes shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as dates opening for Tegan & Sara, Hand Habits will also perform in the U.K.
