Pat Saperstein Deputy Editor Johnny Reardon, star of Hallmark holiday movies like this year’s “Believe in Christmas,” revealed in a Christmas Eve Instagram post that he has been recovering from tonsil cancer.
The Canadian actor, who stars in the canine-themed detective TV series “Hudson & Rex,” wrote “Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer.” He went on to thank his partner, kids, siblings and parents who helped out during his recovery, as well as the medical workers and others who cared for him.
His wife Meghan Ory, also a Hallmark star, posted the photo on Instagram stories and wrote, “This man inspires me every day with his strength, his kindness and love that didn’t falter once even when he was in insane pain.
You are my hero.” Reardon also appeared on “Cypher” and “Van Helsing” as well as “When Calls the Heart.” Among his Christmas roles are “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “The Christmas Secret.” Read Reardon’s message about his gratitude for recovery from tonsil cancer below: “Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer.
