Halle Berry was seemingly game to reprise her X-Men role of Storm in Deadpool & Wolverine but was not approached by Ryan Reynolds.

In a new interview, Berry says she was asked by Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively if she would bring the Mistress of the Elements back to life, but she never got a formal offer. “No,” Berry told ComicBook about being asked to reprise her superhero role.

She continued, “Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me.” The latest Marvel Studios film is an homage to the superhero characters from 20th Century Fox.

Deadpool & Wolverine featured cameos from Jennifer Garner’s Elektra and Wesley Snipes’ Blade. The film would’ve reunited Berry with her X-Men co-star Hugh Jackman.
