Hal Ketchum dead: Country singer dies at 67 after dementia battle

Country singer Hal Ketchum has died at the age of 67. The musician, who shot to fame in the 90s with critically acclaimed album Past The Point of Rescue, is said to have passed away at home following a battle with dementia.

His wife Andrea shared the news on his Facebook page, writing: "With great sadness and grief we announce that Hal passed away peacefully last night at home due to complications of Dementia. "May his music live on forever in your hearts and bring you peace.

Andrea." Originally from New York, the country legend released a whopping 11 studio albums throughout his musical career. He also had three singles in the number 2 spot in the charts and seven Top 10’s, and sold over five million records worldwide.
