'Ha, ha minor...' man laughs in dock as he's jailed for throwing drugs into prison

A drug-dealer laughed and said his prison sentence was 'minor' after he was jailed by a judge. Kyle Ashton was locked up for three-and-a-half years after he admitted selling heroin and crack cocaine on the streets, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 22-year-old also orchestrated deliveries by others as part of a county lines operation, a court heard, and arranged 'throw overs' of cannabis into HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale.

As a judge sentenced him yesterday (Wednesday), Ashton replied: "Ha ha ha, minor". One of his supporters then asked 'who grassed?' as he left the courtroom. He was also involved in October and November the same year. Paul Blasbery, prosecuting, described how Ashton was spotted by police leaving an address on Southworth Avenue in Bewsey on October 4 before cycling a short distance away and meeting with two men, one of whom was a known class A user.
