Ellise Shafer Gypsy Rose Blanchard was released from prison on Thursday morning after serving eight years for the 2015 murder of her mother, ABC News reported.
Blanchard was originally sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee, who she alleged abused her by deliberately making her sick.

Blanchard and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, conspired to murder Dee Dee, with Godejohn stabbing and killing her in her home.
