Emma Chamberlain will return as Vogue’s special correspondent to conduct red carpet interviews. The festivities kick off Monday, May 6, at 6 p.m.
ET. This year’s dress code is “The Garden of Time,” inspired by the 1962 short story of the same name by J.G Ballard. Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Bad Bunny and Anna Wintour will serve as the gala’s co-chairs while the honorary chairs are creative director of Loewe Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Chew.
The 2024 gala coincides with the opening of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and provides the department primary funding for future exhibits, publications, acquisitions, operations and capital improvements.
