Gwen Stefani has admitted she was starting to get "a little bit insecure" about her relationship with Blake Shelton before he finally proposed.
The No Doubt star, 51, had been dating the country music star, 44, for more than five years after they met on the US version of The Voice when they were both coaches.
The happy couple, who announced their engagement in October, had been the subject of engagement rumours many times. And Gwen admitted that she was beginning to think he'd never pop the question.
Speaking on The One Show via video call, she said: "It was totally unexpected. I had just had my birthday and he had told my dad I guess and had the ring for a couple of weeks before.
