Guitar icon Carlos Santana has postponed the next run of his 2025 Las Vegas residency due to an “accidental fall” that left him with a broken finger.
The fall occurred at Santana’s vacation home in Kauai, Hawaii, said Michael Vrionis, President, Universal Tone Management, in a statement today.
The guitarist was scheduled to begin the next run of shows at Vegas’ House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on January 22. “I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai,” Vrionis said. “He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand.
He had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks. Doctors do say that he will recuperate fully.” Vrionis added, “Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon.
