Hollywood director Guillermo del Toro is currently in Glasgow and it seems that he is scouting out filming locations for his next big project.
Most famous for his films Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy and most recently Pinocchio, the filmmaker posed outside the iconic Blythswood Square in Glasgow.The property he was standing outside was the home of Madeleine Smith.
Madeleine was a Glaswegian socialite who was accused of murdering her lover Pierre Emile L'Angelier in 1857 by poisoning him.And after a trial, the verdict returned as 'not proven'.Del Toro penned: "Here I stand in front of the Madelaine Smith home in Glasgow.
Which was meticulously recreated by David Lean in his “wedding hift” eponymous film for Ann Todd."And fans were quick to flock to the comments to try and work out what film he was scouting locations for.
