Gruesome pictures of fatbergs and other drain blockages have prompted a warning about responsible flushing. Photos down Hull's drains have been revealed by the team responsible for clearing them from below the city's streets.
The images shared with Hull Live show the dramatic consequences of wet wipes, sanitary products and cotton buds being flushed down toilets, as well as fats, oils and greases being poured down drains.
These disgusting finds are just a tiny percentage of the 2,000 blockages Yorkshire Water discovered in Hull's sewers. As the photos are released, people are urged to only flush away what Yorkshire Water call the three Ps - pee, poo and toilet paper.
