Naya Rivera in the wake of her death may seem alien and confusing. But I beg of you, please hold off any social media comments criticising and mocking anyone for their feelings of loss and anguish.
No matter the circumstances of the death or the physical and familiar closeness we have with somebody, a tragedy has many ways and reasons of impacting us.
You may never have met Naya, but grieving for the loss of a young woman, a huge talent and a loving mother is absolutely valid, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
And don’t be that person who interferes with someone’s grieving process to explain to them that they shouldn’t make it about themselves.
