A grieving mum was left devastated after a memorial to her son who was killed by a drink-driver was removed for the council to 'cut the grass'.
Kristian Johnson, 24, died after being hit by drink-driver Emily Rogers in Bacup, Lancashire, last June. He had been walking home after celebrating Father’s Day with friends - having tragically lost his own father - when he was hit in the early hours of the morning.
Kristian died at the scene. Remembering her son, his heartbroken mum Paula said: “He was very intelligent - almost too intelligent for the world, he was a very deep thinker. “He was very caring and knew his right from wrong.
