Richard Flood took on the role of Dr. Cormac Hayes, the new head of pediatric surgery in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, and somewhere along the way became the new love interest of Meredith Grey.
However, for Dublin-born actor Richard, getting the role of Grey’s Anatomy seemed almost too good to be true, as he hadn’t worked for over a year beforehand, and was on the verge of giving up his acting career.
But the role on the hit TV show came along almost out of nowhere, and what’s even more bizarre is that he didn’t even have to go through a rigorous audition process to get the role.
