We’ve known for months that we would be saying goodbye to two cast members during Grey’s Anatomy season 21, but now the showrunner is speaking out about the exits for the first time.

Grey’s boss Meg Marinis opened up in new interviews that were released right after the season 21 premiere aired on Thursday night (September 26) on ABC.

Jake and Midori are fantastic actors and will always be part of the Grey’s Anatomy family.
