Green Day have put out a casting call for a new film inspired by the band’s early days. Find all the details below.Earlier this month, it was reported that Live Nation Productions was working on a comedy movie called New Years Rev, with all three members of the pop-punk trio involved.

Production is currently underway in Oklahoma.The comedy, coming-of-age film will tell the story of three friends as they travel across the US after mistakenly thinking they’ll be opening for a Green Day at a New Year’s show in Los Angeles.Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman and Ryan Foust are set to portray the young group of friends who embark on a life-changing journey.

Directed by Lee Kirk, New Years Rev and also stars Jenna Fischer (Kirk’s wife) and Angela Kinsey – both of whom starred in The Office together.

They’ll appear in the movie along with the likes of Sean Gunn, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio and Mark Ruffalo’s son Keen Ruffalo.Besides Green Day, the film is also being produced by Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino for Live Nation Productions.
