Greater Manchester will escape the worst of the 'very strong and disruptive winds' brought by Storm Dudley later this week - but will be hit by Storm Eunice on Friday.
The Met Office has issued two weather warnings - one yellow and one amber - for large parts of northern England and Scotland on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
In some areas, forecasters warn there could be a 'danger to life' as Storm Dudley brings strong gusts. Though windy weather is predicted for Greater Manchester, it will escape the worst of the gails which are predicted to hit speeds of 90mph in some areas. But on Friday, another yellow weather warning has been issued which covers the entire region. Storm Eunice will closely follow Storm Dudley and bring more 'very strong winds' at the end of the week.
