Greater Manchester has experienced all four seasons this week, from warm, sunny weather to snow showers and sleet. On Thursday morning, people in parts of Tameside, Oldham, Stockport and Manchester reported waking up to the white stuff.
Heavy snow caused some disruption on the roads, with heavy traffic on a section of the M62 between junction 23 for Huddersfield and junction 21 for Milnrow.
More wintry showers are forecast on Friday and Saturday in some areas of Greater Manchester, with minimum temperatures dipping to -3C overnight.
The mornings will start frosty but remain dry and bright this weekend, with some rain and wintry showers forecast on Saturday afternoon.
