Greater Manchester is set for another unsettled day of weather following Storm Pierrick. The storm, named by Meteo France, brought rain and heavy wind to the UK yesterday (April 10).
Several flood alerts were in place across the North West as the region was battered by the elements. Six amber flood alerts remain in Cheshire this morning (Wednesday), including at the Mersey estuary in Warrington, meaning flooding is 'possible'.
Meanwhile, two red flood warnings are in place in Lancashire, for the Wyre estuary in Thornton and at Sunderland Point on the coast near Lancaster - meaning residents should 'act now', according to the Environment Agency.
