Marple Bridge & Mellor, to the east of the borough, saw a huge 157.9 per cent increase in cases from September 7 to September 17, with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) recording 49 cases during this period.
It paints a very different picture from back in February, when it had the lowest rates in all of Greater Manchester.
