In Oldham the number of cases has trebled week-on-week, while it's doubled in Wigan and more than doubled in Salford. Bolton has seen a 17 per cent drop in infections, but it still has by far the highest infection rate in the region.
However Bolton no longer has the highest rate in the country, having been overtaken by Blackburn. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 92.8 cases per 100,000 people, according to the latest data from Public Health England.
