All hope is not lost for house hunters in Greater Manchester as the property market is showing some signs of slowing down. House prices have been on the rise for quite some time now, with the average price of property in the region now £241,657 according to Rightmove's latest data.

In the midst of the cost of living crisis, price drops are something that we're not used to hearing - but lo and behold - there are some parts of the region where house prices are going down.

Some areas of Greater Manchester have seen property prices plummet by almost £40,000 this month in comparison to figures recorded by Rightmove back in June.
