mirror.co.ukA great grandmother has revealed how her overwhelming urge to breastfeed at the age of 80 was in fact a sign she had cancer.
Barbara Harvey suffered from a tingling and itchy sensation in her left nipple that spread to her whole breast over the course of a year.
She said the feeling was 'driving her mad' and she was forced to 'tweak' her left nipple while out in public to try and relieve herself of the irritation.
Barbara, from Plymouth, Devon, said she also had the feeling that she wanted to breastfeed a baby. After several 'frustrating' trips to her GP revealing her baffling symptoms, doctors declared she was lump-free and that nothing was wrong.
