An 85-year-old woman was left fighting for her life after being 'pushed over' by a 13-year-old boy outside her home. The family of Peggy Snowden have thanked neighbours and passers-by who rushed to her aid after the shocking incident.
They say she and housebound husband Brian from Grimsby, Lincs, had been repeatedly targeted by youths banging on their front door, gesturing at the window and ringing the bell and running off.
Just before the incident on Tuesday, a fed-up Peggy went to confront them, they added. She suffered a serious head injury. She is now recovering at home.
