A furious gran who was forced to pay £2,400 to stay at a quarantine hotel claims 'kids have gone to bed hungry' and Muslims have been unable to break their fasts because of inadequate food.
Neelo Farr and husband Nadeem, who are both Muslims and fasting for Ramadan, are holed up in the Holiday Inn Express at the NEC in Birmingham after travelling back from Pakistan.
The Asian country was unexpectedly added to the UK's Red List while they were away. Neelo said guests 'would be treated better in prison' as they are 'being deprived of basic needs'.
She told Birmingham Live : "We returned to the UK from Pakistan on April 15 to go into quarantine at a hotel. "Pakistan had been placed on the red list giving only 5 days notice.
