Grammys viewership slightly edges out last year's RECORD LOW with just under 9million viewers

The 2022 Grammy Awards viewership numbers were slightly up after last year's record low.The gala hosted by Trevor Noah - which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas - on Sunday drew 8.93million viewers which was just a 1.4% increase from the previous year according to Variety on Monday.By comparison, last year's Grammy Awards - which were a hybrid of outdoor ceremony and indoor performances at the Los Angeles Convention Center - had a record low of just 8.8million.

CBS is estimating that the number for Sunday's telecast will jump up to 9.6millionwhen Live + Same Day data comes in Tuesday.If that indeed is the case then it would mark a 2.1% increase from last year's final record low numbers.
