The CEO of the Recording Academy – the voting body that awards the Grammys – opened up about Sabrina Carpenter‘s Best New Artist nomination.
On Friday (November 8), the 25-year-old “Espresso” pop star was nominated for one of the most prestigious Grammy awards. Some fans might be surprised that the nomination came as Sabrina was nominated for Short N’ Sweet, which is her sixth studio album.

I was going to say it’s pretty simple, but it’s actually not that simple. It’s difficult, and it’s challenging because it’s a little bit amorphous how you would evaluate best new artist,” he said.
