Judy Blume‘s 1975 novel Forever is being reimagined for a new generation as a Netflix series of the same name. Mara Brock Akil (Girlfriends, Being Mary Jane) will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the project, her first under her overall deal with the streamer.

Oscar-nominated actor Warren Beatty, 85, is best known for his role playing Clyde in the famous 1967 film, Bonnie and Clyde.The Hollywood actor is now being sued for allegedly engaging in coercive sex with a minor in an incident dated back to 1973 when Beatty was 35.The 85-year-old actor was named only as "Defendant Doe" in the lawsuit, leaving the actor unnamed.However, the filing did specify that the "renowned and well-known actor and producer" in question had been nominated for an Oscar in 1967 for his role in Bonnie and Clyde.Kristina Charlotte Hirsch filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.Hirsch has alleged that Beatty met her on one of his movie sets where he paid "undue attention" to her, including commenting on her looks and giving away her phone number.She claimed that Beatty called her numerous times in 1973 and even invited her to the hotel he was staying in and took her on numerous car rides.The suit also states that Beatty, who would have been about 35 at the time, offered to help her with her homework and commented to her several times about losing her virginity.According to the lawsuit, the defendant "used his position and status as an adult and a Hollywood movie star to coerce sexual contact on multiple occasions."The accusations include "oral sex, simulated sex and finally coerced sexual intercourse with the minor of a child."The suit also states that at first Hirsch was "initially thrilled" by the attention and thought they were in a romantic relationship.The individual is now seeking compensation for psychological, mental and emotional distress.Due to the accusations, Hirsch alleged that she has had difficulty interacting with people in positions of authority as a result of the
