GP’s skull fractured after 'patient goes on rampage' at surgery

Health chiefs are calling for more protection for NHS staff after a GP’s skull was fractured in a vicious alleged attack by a patient.

Practice staff at the GP surgery were also injured at a surgery on Friday afternoon. Health bosses are calling on the government to take action over abuse towards NHS staff, after they revealed they were moved to tears hearing about the violence their colleagues faced.
