Gordon Ramsay's hurt over Jamie Oliver's throwaway remark before tragedy mended rift

As the two biggest names in the TV chef business, Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay were never going to be best friends. And both made that quite clear back in 2009 when Gordon - who fronts new BBC quiz show Bank Balance - brutally compared Australian journalist Tracy Grimshaw's appearance to that of a pig.

Jamie jumped to her defence, telling The Sun: "Aussies aren’t forgiving. Once you’re gone, you’re gone... It’s never good to criticise a woman, especially when they’re loved by their country and you do it on national television." Gordon, 54, hit back, branding him a 'one-pot wonder' and quipped that the last time he'd complained about a meal was at one of Jamie's restaurants.
