Gordon Brown today calls on the Government to open its eyes to the economic fall-out of the Covid crisis and create 1.5m jobs instead of a measly 15,000.

He has called on Boris Johnson to act urgently and call a youth job summit amid warnings that up to one million young people could be unemployed within weeks.

Research for the alliance suggests that 1.5 million young people will need help over the coming year to deal with the increase in unemployment.
