Olivia-Anne Cleary Guest Contributor Following the success of its premiere offering, “Good Omens” has returned to Prime Video for a second season, and the four-year wait between courses has done little to wane fans’ excitement.
The first season was based on the hit 1990 novel “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch,” by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
The prolific writers had long discussed ideas for a sequel, yet nothing had been fully realized at the time of Pratchett’s death in 2015.
After writing the script for the first season alone, Gaiman teamed up with writer John Finnemore this time around to create fresh material, strongly influenced by his former talks with Pratchett.
