The Good Morning Britain and Jeremy Vine star who came under fire for her remarks about Kate Middleton has apologised. Narinder Kaur, who rose to fame on Big Brother in 2001, posted after the princess appeared at Remembrance Sunday events: "Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much?

Isn't she only 42? Is she a smoker? It's the only explanation." A huge backlash ensued, with The Chase and I'm A Celeb star Anne Hegerty among those replying.

She said bluntly: "I hope you look better than that when you get cancer." The TV star deleted the original tweet and explained she'd received death threats and racist comments in the wake of the post.

She told her followers: "I put out a tweet earlier. A genuine ask about why Kate Middleton had aged so much. It was genuinely – an ask.
