Gogglebox star Pete McGarry has died at the age of 71 after battling a short illness. Pete, his wife Linda and their son George found fame after joining the second series of the Channel 4 show in 2013.
The family left in 2014 so that George could star on Celebrity Big Brother, before Pete and Linda returned as a duo two years later and have been regular faces ever since.
A statement announcing Pete's death to fans was shared to Twitter by the official Gogglebox account. "We are deeply saddened to announce that Gogglebox star Pete McGarry passed away at the age of 71 this weekend with his family by his side after a short illness," began the post.
