Walkden. Officers say they are aware the public are “disappointed” at their response to the incidents in Parr Fold Park. It comes after five people were robbed – some at knifepoint – within the space of three days.
On January 5, a teenager was assaulted on the cycle path and had his headphones stolen. Just an hour later, 16-year-old Harry was attacked by two men who punched him and threatened him with a knife.Harry, who has autism, was forced to hand over £350 of his Christmas and birthday money to the attackers.The next day, on January 6, a group matching the same description robbed 17-year-old Matthew Bennett of £300 in the same park.
