Ranvir Singh was struggling with an early start on Good Morning Britain on Thursday after a very late night out left her with just a couple of hours sleep.

The broadcaster made a hilarious on-air gaffe this morning, 15 June, as she struggled with her autocue on a minimal amount of sleep.

Sitting alongside her co-star Ben Shephard, Ranvir attempted the headlines on the early morning ITV news show but stumbled over her words – before admitting Lionel Richie was to blame for her lack of focus.

Ranvir read: "Still to come. Find out which singing superstar is being blamed for Sweden’s high in...fatuation, is that meant to say?" Ben corrected her: "Inflation," before joking: "They're infatuated with inflation!" Ranvir leaned forward over the desk and peered at the autocue as she continued having trouble with reading the prompt in front of her.
