Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Glencoats Lodge Nursery has helped raise £7,500 for Cash for Kids by doing a sponsored sing-along.The staff and children at Glencoats Lodge, along with other nurseries that are part of the Collin Care group, have been doing their bit to help needy and vulnerable youngsters.The Paisley nursery put on a sponsored sing-along to help raise money - and the little ones sang at various performances from 8am until 6pm. Danielle Thomson, nursery manager of Glencoats Lodge, said some children opting to take part in the sing-along, while others chose to do nursery rhymes.She explained: "The children did a complete mixture of everything, because it ran from eight in the morning until six at night.

You had some radio pop songs, which the older kids did as they heard them on the radio."We also had classic nursery songs along with some children that just spoke to one another, like a conversation.”The Ferguslie Park nursery still has covid restrictions in place, so parents couldn't get in to see some of the performances however, that did not lessen the donations that came in with an online link being set up for people to donate and also sponsor forms being handed out to parents and staff.Danielle added: "It was disappointing that we couldn’t get the parents in due to the covid restrictions and the children being here but the children's health and well-being is the main priority.
