Glen Powell is bringing the laughs this spooky season. The actor will make a guest appearance on the upcoming Halloween special episode of Family Guy, voicing competitive pumpkin carver Patrick McCloskey, producers revealed Saturday at the animated show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. “Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (Powell) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary,” reads the synopsis for the first of two Hulu Exclusive holiday specials, premiering Oct.
14 on the streaming platform. The episode will also feature the voice of Derek Jacobi as Stewie’s beloved teddy bear Rupert.
Powell’s upcoming voice role comes after his massive $81.2 million opening weekend in Twisters, leading the high-octane Lee Isaac Chung-helmed sequel alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos.
Family Guy fans were treated to a sneak peek of the show’s upcoming 23rd season on Friday at Comic-Con with a trailer that roasted Top Gun: Maverick, the Supreme Court Justices and George Santos, and featured a live-action appearance from Pete Davidson.
