Gleb Savchenko is stripping down to his underwear for the cover of Playgirl magazine‘s latest issue! The 41-year-old dancer, best known for being a pro on Dancing With the Stars, posed for a western-themed shoot for the magazine’s cover story.

In his interview, Gleb opened up about growing up in Russia and moving to the U.S. to pursue his dancing dreams. Keep reading to find out more… On how life was different in Russia: “Growing up in communist Russia, training and living off food stamps, it gives you a little different view on life. [I was] always having that inner child calling to ‘get out, get away.’ They keep us so constricted.

Everything is just like a rat race. But that was the life I knew, and my parents’ mentality was like, ‘Okay, if you’re doing an activity, if we’re investing our time and effort, you’re doing it 100 percent.’ So, I’ve been trained to always, like, ‘deliver or die.’” On the pressures of fame after being on DWTS for 11 seasons: “My circle of friends kind of changed, and I broke up with my girlfriend of almost three years because we were just not on the same frequency.

The energy just wasn’t working.” On learning to meditate: “I have a long way to go, but that’s what I want to tap into more.
