Glasgow woman left heartbroken by the tragic death of mum Mercy Baguma is living on rations given to refugees for one week to show the extreme poverty they face while fighting to survive.
Keira Lynch, 23, was left angered and shocked by the news of Mercy’s death in Glasgow earlier this week.The body of the 34-year-old refugee, from Uganda, had been found in her Govan flat next to her crying and malnourished baby boy.Kiera will spend one week living on the same rations given to a refugee in a camp in Jordan for a week, to demonstrate the hardship endured by vulnerable refugees.One box contains a pack of rice, lentils, dried chickpeas, tinned kidney beans, tinned sardines and vegetable oil.It also contains two 'food coupons' for an extra.
