Railway services between Glasgow and Edinburgh have been halted after emergency services rushed to an incident on the line at Springburn.
Services travelling between the two cities via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld have been replaced with buses after Network Rail closed the line to allow emergency services to access the area.
The nature of the incident is not known at this time.Scotrail said in a tweet: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Springburn and Robroyston the line is closed. "Our services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld will be diverted."I'll update you all as soon as I can."The rail operator has since arranged alternate transport at Glasgow Queen Street and Camelon to call at stops via Springburn.
