A Glasgow street has been compared to a post-apocalyptic zone after video footage showed mountains of rubbish left dumped. The 'depressing' video of Dennistoun's Bluevale and Inglis street was posted by Martin Monaghan, who described it as being reminiscent of an 'abandoned zombie apocalypse zone.'The area looks very run down as piles of rubbish can be seen hidden within fenced in waste ground.

Couches, fridges and building material cover have all been dumped on the derelict area. There is even mattresses, rubbish bags and shopping trolleys left abandoned on the pavements.Glasgow Live reports the shocking mess is believed to be the work of fly tippers who have used the quiet road to offload their rubbish rather than pay to have it properly disposed.Martin told Glasgow Live: "Seriously, this is absolutely disgraceful and needs attended to.

Folk use this short cut to get to the forge by foot."It’s absolutely depressing looking and shocking that folk are having to observe this disaster zone on a daily basis!."Locals were quick to agree with one writing: "The whole place looks like this now absolutely disgusting."Another added: "It's been like that for years."A third said: "This is when people no longer live as a community, no one cares.

So sad."A fourth wrote: "It's the people that are dumping their rubbish. Probably not from the area just drive by and dump. Cameras up and fine them."A spokesman for Glasgow City Council said: “Fly-tipping is an environmental crime and those responsible are liable to face enforcement action.
